 Welcome to Inner Support (“App”, “we”, “our”, “us”), a self-guided, AI-powered tool designed to support personal growth and emotional wellness through interactive conversation and reflection. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our services, website, app and any related features (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

1. Not a Therapy App

Inner Support is an AI-powered, self-guided wellness app designed to support emotional insight, reflection, and personal growth. It offers structured prompts and conversational tools based on psychoeducational principles to help users explore their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions in a private and supportive environment.

Inner Support does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or professional mental health care, and it is not a substitute for therapy. The app does not establish or support a therapeutic relationship. Nothing within the Service should be interpreted as medical, psychological, or mental health advice. If you are experiencing a crisis or require clinical care, we strongly encourage you to contact a licensed professional, mental health provider, or emergency service.

2. Why was Inner Support Created?

It was created by a PhD-level therapist who, after decades of clinical experience, saw an opportunity to share proven tools and reflective practices with a broader audience. Her intention was to make accessible, self-guided support available to individuals seeking to better understand themselves—whether or not they are currently in therapy.

With her professional insight and experience she trained the AI to deliver thoughtful, structured conversations based on well-established wellness and psychoeducational frameworks. Inner Support is designed to foster emotional awareness, clarity, and growth. It can be used on its own, or alongside therapy as a way to deepen reflection and reinforce insights between sessions.

3. How does Inner Support Work?

Inner Support uses a combination of pre-established prompts and your written inputs to generate tailored, AI-driven responses meant to encourage self-awareness, emotional insight, and personal reflection. The goal is to guide you on your own internal journey.

Your inputs are processed securely using HIPAA-compliant protocols and are used to personalize your experience. The AI model uses your inputs to generate tailored responses during your interaction.  Your data is not used to train or improve the underlying model and is not shared across user accounts. We do not share your content or personal data with third parties for marketing, external AI training, or third-party analytics purposes. 4. Who Can Use Inner Support?

You must be at least 18 years old to use Inner Support. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law.

 5. AI Use and Data Handling

Inner Support uses artificial intelligence to generate conversational responses based on your written inputs and pre-established prompts. These inputs are processed securely and used to personalize your experience in real-time.

The app does not use your data to train or improve the underlying AI models globally, and does not share your content or personal data with third parties for marketing, analytics, or external AI development. All data is processed in compliance with our Privacy Policy, HIPAA Compliance Policy, and applicable laws.

6. HIPAA Compliance and its Use by Therapists or Providers

Inner Support may be used by licensed therapists, providers  and practitioners as a self-guided companion tool for clients. Inner Support is HIPAA compliant but is not a clinical tool, and does not monitor or intervene in care.

If you are a provider using the Service with clients or patients you agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for using the Inner Support in accordance with your professional license, the laws and regulations of the state(s) in which you are licensed, and all ethical standards applicable to your profession.
  • You are responsible for any information, content, or communications you initiate, input, or store using the Service.
  • Inner Support assumes no responsibility or liability for your professional use of the Services or any outcomes associated with that use.
  • You must ensure that your use of Inner Support complies with HIPAA, relevant privacy laws, and any additional confidentiality or recordkeeping obligations.

INNER SUPPORT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE IS FIT FOR ANY CLINICAL, THERAPEUTIC, OR REGULATORY PURPOSE. You assume all risks associated with your use of the Service in a professional context.

7. Privacy and Data De-Identification

We use industry-standard protocols and HIPAA-compliant practices to protect your information.

We may apply de-identification or anonymization techniques to data where appropriate, but even anonymized data carries residual risks. We take reasonable steps to reduce these risks in accordance with recognized frameworks such as HIPAA Safe Harbor and NIST guidelines.

8. Prohibited Uses

By using Inner Support YOU AGREE NOT TO USE THE SERVICE TO:

  • Diagnose or treat yourself or others;
  • Collect or process protected health information on behalf of third parties without appropriate authorization;
  • Violate any applicable laws, including privacy, discrimination, and data protection regulations;
  • Exploit or interfere with the Service, its users, or its AI systems.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, AI models, text, prompts, software, and branding are the exclusive property of Inner Support and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without prior written consent.

10. User Content and License

You retain ownership of any content or inputs you submit.

By using the Service, you grant us a free, worldwide, limited, non-exclusive license to process and display your content solely for the purpose of delivering the Service to you. We do not use your inputs for marketing, profiling, or external AI development.

11. No Warranty – “As Is” Product

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY,
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT,
  • QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND
  • ACCURACY OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from bugs or harmful content. You use the Service at your own risk. You are solely responsible for any decisions or actions taken based on AI-generated content.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, SUPPLIERS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
  • OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Inner Support’s affiliates, licensors, and service providers are intended third-party beneficiaries of this section.

13. Termination and Suspension

You may stop using the Service at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, or delete your account, if:

  • You breach these Terms or our usage policies;
  • We are legally required to do so; or
  • Your use of the Service poses a risk of harm to us, other users, or third parties.

14. Discontinuation of Services

We may decide to discontinue all or part of the Service at our discretion. If we do so, we will provide advance notice and refund any prepaid fees for unused Services.

Your privacy is important to us. Inner Support handles personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. 

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy, and you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data as described therein. The Privacy Policy describes:

  • What information we collect
  • How it is used and shared
  • Your rights and choices
  • How we protect your data

If you do not agree with the terms of the Privacy Policy, you must not use the Service.

Inner Support also complies with applicable privacy regulations, including but not limited to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (where applicable), and HIPAA, to the extent required

16. Arbitration and Governing Law

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

  • The arbitration will take place in Miami, Florida, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Each party shall bear its own attorneys’ fees, unless the arbitrator awards fees under applicable law.
  • The laws of the State of Florida shall govern these Terms without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

17. Subscription and Payment Terms

If you subscribe to Inner Support, fees will be billed on either a monthly or yearly basis, as selected by you at checkout.

  • Monthly subscriptions: Prices are subject to change at any time. If the subscription price changes, you will be notified in advance, and you may cancel your subscription before your next billing cycle to avoid being charged the new rate.

  • Yearly subscriptions: The price you pay at the start of your annual term will remain the same through the end of that term. If the price changes, the updated rate will only apply after your current annual period ends. Annual subscriptions are non-cancelable and non-refundable during the term, except where required by law.

No refunds are issued for partially used billing periods unless required by applicable law.

18. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice via email or through the app. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

19. AI Output Accuracy and Responsibility

Inner Support uses artificial intelligence to generate conversational responses based on your inputs and pre-defined prompts. Artificial intelligence and machine learning are rapidly evolving technologies, and while we aim to offer supportive and relevant content, the nature of these systems means that the Output may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate.

By using the Service, you understand and agree that:

  • The AI-generated content is not guaranteed to be accurate or factual, and should not be relied upon as a sole source of truth, emotional guidance, or information.
  • The Output is generated probabilistically and may not reflect real people, places, or events.
  • You are solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy, appropriateness, and usefulness of any Output. Where applicable, you should seek professional, human guidance to interpret or apply the content.
  • You must not use AI-generated content from Inner Support to make decisions that could have legal, financial, medical, therapeutic, or other material consequences for yourself or others, including but not limited to decisions regarding credit, education, employment, housing, insurance, legal rights, or health.
  • The Service may, on occasion, generate content that is offensive, incorrect, or inconsistent with your values. Such content is generated automatically and does not reflect the views of Inner Support or its creators.
  • References to third-party concepts, services, or names within the Output do not constitute endorsement or affiliation.

Inner Support is constantly evolving, and we may update features, underlying models, or prompts as we refine the experience. We do not warrant that the Output will be reliable, safe, or suitable for any particular use case.
